I am a Literary Arts nominated essay writer, whose work has appeared in the online magazine Full Grown People and in the Her Nexx Chapter blog. Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, I grew up daydreaming about summer and the big city. Before I started writing personal essays, I dedicated my life and my youth to photography and spent several years taking editorial pictures for newspapers and magazines, including Seattle Monthly, Willamette Week and The Oregonian. I have two roommates that I happened to give birth to, my daughter and my son. My hobbies include knitting, then ripping out what I just knit and beginning again, watching any and all documentaries and spending time with my adult roommates. I became a widow on April 2, 2013. I became a writer on April 3, 2013.
